Hello! I’m Caterina Chi. From a young age, I was filled with a passion for hands-on creativity and various imagination, which lighted my dream of becoming a product designer.
I believe, we, as designers, should bridge the gap between businesses and users, shaping experiences that cater to people’s needs while balancing practicality, sustainability, and manufacturability.

Job Title: Product Design Intern
Project: Bell Tower Digital Reconstruction
Description:

Collaborated in a specialized modeling team to digitally reconstruct Beijing’s historic Bell Tower for a public exhibition showcasing ancient Chinese architecture.

Translated traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery into detailed Rhino models, ensuring both authenticity and structural feasibility for 3D printing.

Worked closely with the 3D printing team to adapt models for fabrication, resolving geometric and material challenges under tight timelines.

Coordinated with media and documentation teams, providing visual assets and supporting the storytelling of the construction process.

Occasionally assisted interns from other departments by sharing modeling tips and problem-solving techniques, highlighting cross-disciplinary collaboration and design communication skills.
